ALL PUBLIC MEETINGS ARE ON HOLD (2020) NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH COMMITTEE 2019
The Neighborhood Watch Committee would like to wish you a very Happy New Year!
The mission of the Neighborhood Watch Committee is to foster a sense of community by promoting safety and security. In an effort to keep Cobblestone Development and surrounding communities safe, we’ve taken the initiative to collaborate with Sun City community in conjunction with Sergeant Murphy of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. We strive to reduce crime and have a greater sense of security, responsibility, and personal control.
Neighborhood Watch meetings will be held quarterly on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. Our 2019 Meeting Schedule is as follows:
Please help me welcome our Neighborhood Watch officers for 2019:
Members from the Fire Department spoke at one of our events last year and announced that they would be happy to help homeowners with changing batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Smoke detector devices expires after ten years and should be replaced. They have agreed to change the batteries and replace the new detector as long as there are no issues with wiring. If you are unsure if your detector has expired, you may verify by looking at the date posted on the bottom of the detector's base. When purchasing a new device, please be sure to get ‘wired’ and not battery.
We've decided to deliver important safety information to residents that do not have access to email as well as place a copy of messages on the Message Board (located at the Townhome mailboxes) to ensure that all residents are informed on safety awareness/concerns.
Block Captains
The Neighborhood Watch Planning Committee would like to thank the Block Captains for their desire to serve our neighborhood. Please mark your calendar for our upcoming meeting scheduled on Thursday, March 28th, 6:00pm at the Clubhouse.
Happiest regards,
Neighborhood Watch Committee
